Privacy policy

The short version

STCH is operated by The Wearable Stories, and we are responsible for the data described on this page.

We collect what we need to send you a parcel and to understand how the site is used. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not buy lists.

What we collect when you order

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• Your delivery address, city, state and pincode.
• What you ordered, in which sizes and colours, and the amount.
• Whether you paid online or chose cash on delivery. We never receive your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.

What we collect when you just browse

• Pages viewed, how long you stayed, roughly where in the world you are, and what device and browser you used.
• Anonymous session recordings and heatmaps that show where people tap and scroll, so we can find what is confusing.
• Your cart, which is saved in your own browser so it survives a refresh. It stays on your device.

Why we collect it

• To take payment, pack your order and get it delivered.
• To message you about your order and answer your questions.
• To fix what is broken and make the site easier to shop.
• To keep our accounts and meet tax and legal obligations.

The services that touch your data

We keep this list short on purpose, and it is accurate. Each of these sees only what it needs to do its job.

• Vercel, which hosts the website and stores your order record.
• Our payment partner, which processes online payments and holds the card or UPI details we never see.
• Shiprocket, which arranges pickup and delivery, and their courier partners, who need your name, address and phone to deliver.
• Microsoft Clarity, for anonymous session recordings and heatmaps.
• Umami, for privacy-first traffic statistics with no cross-site tracking.
• WhatsApp, only if you message us or we message you about your own order.

Cookies and similar tools

We do not use advertising cookies to follow you around the internet. The analytics we run are set up to measure pages rather than to build a profile of you, and your cart is stored in your browser rather than on our servers.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Session recordings expire automatically after a short retention period set by the tool.

Your choices

Write to us at stch.ltd18@gmail.com and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will act on it, and we will only keep what the law requires us to keep, such as an invoice.

You can also stop marketing messages at any time by telling us, without affecting messages about an order you have placed.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No system is perfect, so if something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

This store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

For a formal complaint, put COMPLAINT in the subject line. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to close it within 15 days.
